Until March 7th it will be possible to take a digital trip among the permanent collections of Triennale Milano
Triennale Milano, a long-time art and architecture meeting point, has recently scheduled a series of free virtual meetings every Sunday from the 7th of February to the 7th of March 2021 at 17.30 in alternate mode. Thanks to the platform Google Arts & Culture, it will be possible to connect online to observe the paintings and the models of exhibition Enzo Mari curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist with Francesca Giacomelli or to visit the areas dedicated to the Museo del Design Italiano.
The retrospective of Enzo Mari curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist with Francesca Giacomelli takes the visitor on an amazing artistic journey, focused on the ideas and the projects of one of the great masters of Italian design. The 60 years of activity are documented in an exhibition that is developed in four sections.
Museo del Design Italiano undoubtedly represents a unique itinerary in its kind. The collection includes 200 objects among the most iconic pieces of Italian design from 1946 to 1981, narrated with unprecedented and detailed insights. Original photographs and advertising campaigns will help the visitors understand the genesis and the marketing of products.
An interesting event for kids from 5 to 10 years old is the virtual project “Design-Me-Home”. Every Sunday from 15.30, it will be possible to listen to the tales of the Triennale’s cultural mediators that will describe in a simple, fun and detailed way the objects and the collections.
“In a moment as difficult and uncertain as the present, culture is a fundamentally important resource and must find new ways of reaching out to our communities. The task of a cultural institution is to keep going, move forward its work with artists and designers, renew its exchange of ideas and dialogue with the public. The two great exhibitions recently opened, focusing on Enzo Mari and Claudia Andujar, the Public Program appointments, guided visits to Museo del Design Italiano, the Festival FOG performances: all Triennale Milano’s extraordinary riches will continue to be accessible on digital channels and platforms over the coming days.” Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano
