The Glo-Ball<\/a><\/strong> collection by Flos<\/a><\/strong> was introduced in 1998 as the result of an essential design gesture: restoring to light a universal form. Jasper Morrison<\/a><\/strong> interprets the archetype of the sphere as a quiet presence, able to engage with architecture without imposing itself. It is not an object that seeks attention, but a luminous volume that shapes atmosphere through balance and restraint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


At the technical core of the project is hand-blown, acid-etched opaline glass, developed to achieve an even and enveloping diffusion. The surface filters the light source, eliminates glare and softens contrasts, transforming light into a gentle, tactile presence. In this way, Glo-Ball does more than illuminate surfaces; it defines a mood, making it equally suited to domestic interiors, contract settings and more complex architectural contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n

The strength of the collection lies in its typological coherence. Each model preserves the integrity of the spherical archetype, adjusting proportion and scale in response to space. In the Glo-Ball S<\/strong> pendant version, the sphere settles naturally above dining tables, kitchen islands or living areas, whether used individually or in multiple compositions. The opaline glass diffuser maintains a soft, uniform glow that descends seamlessly into the room, establishing a visual focal point without becoming dominant or overtly theatrical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed for bedside tables, desks or sideboards, they emit a controlled light that accompanies everyday gestures with ease. Even in more compact versions such as the Basic<\/strong> or the Mini<\/strong>, the presence remains measured and fully aligned with the original identity of the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the floor versions, the sphere is elevated and takes on a more architectural role. Placed in a living room or lounge area, it defines reading corners and social spaces through a broad, even luminosity. The structure remains light, almost invisible, allowing the light itself to shape the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n
