Designing with light, from lamps conceived as essential signs to systems that take shape as discreet spatial infrastructures, defining rhythm, depth, and perception.
For Davide Groppi, light is never a secondary element within a space, but its active principle. It is an immaterial substance, a calibrated presence, a design gesture. Almost tailored in its precision, light shapes atmospheres, guides the eye, and defines relationships between solids and voids with clarity and restraint. Each design is conceived as a synthesis of simplicity, lightness, invention, and emotion: not an object to display, but a sign that interprets the space around it.
Within this vision, products become narrative tools. Sampei, with its slender arched profile, introduces a graphic presence that illuminates without adding visual weight.
TeTaTeT brings light into a freer, more intimate dimension, connected to gesture and proximity. Nulla reduces the project to its essence, turning direct light into an almost invisible presence.
Alongside the lamps, the systems extend the brand’s language to an architectural scale. Infinito and Endless trace continuous, flexible luminous paths, while Flash introduces measured, precise accents able to highlight thresholds, surfaces, and routes.
Direct light defines and orients, indirect light gives volume room to breathe, and diffused light softens the space, enhancing its perceptual quality.
This is where light becomes design. In contract and hospitality settings, where identity, comfort, and atmosphere must coexist coherently, Mohd supports architects and clients through a dedicated interior design service, developing integrated and bespoke lighting solutions that turn every space into a precise, elegant, and contemporary spatial narrative.
