Transforming furnishings that do not renounce a refined design, sofa beds and armchair beds comfortable in all their configurations
It is time to dispel the false myth that sofas and armchair beds are functional but not very comfortable and beautiful. Today, thanks to the projects proposed by high-level brands, this furniture is also perfected, offering an ideal balance of functionality, style and comfort. The result? Sofas and armchair beds that do not look out of place in the living room, comfortable both as a seat and as a bed, finished with quality upholstery and trendy colors. The formal approach is innovative and experimental and the double configuration translates into a pretext to refine the details and maximize the simplicity of the transition from seat to bed.
Daybed by Eileen Gray for ClassiCon

Designed in 1925 by Eileen Gray, this daybed is as essential as it is elegant. The steel structure – also available in black – is a graphic feature reduced to a minimum, the textile component is generous in the padding and refined in the selection of upholstery. The stitching is the detail that gives class and structure to the whole. Suitable for the wall as well as in the center of the room, the daybed is accessible and beautiful to look at from all sides.

The purity of the lines returns to the Pierrot sofa bed by Bonaldo, characterized by the elliptical opening in the center that makes it visually appealing and light. The seat slides forward and the backrest reclines until the two elements match and create a comfortable sleeping surface. Pierrot is available in the smooth version, or in the more elaborate quilted variant (Pierrot King).

Revolve by Numen for Prostoria

The classic sofa beds of the past featured complicated and heavy mechanisms that made opening and closing difficult. The starting point of Revolve is precisely the will to overcome these mechanisms and make them easy and immediate. How? The backrest rotates 180° around the seat and becomes the bed frame. Open or closed, Revolve can be positioned in the center of the room as well as on the wall.

Splitback by Innovation Living

Versatile and transformable, Splitback is a Living Innovation sofa bed that can take on four different configurations. The backrest is made up of two independent elements from each other which, in addition to the upright position, can assume an intermediate inclination and a completely extended one. It can therefore be a classic sofa, double chaise longue and finally a bed.

The concept of the Sliding sofa bed is essential and extremely versatile. Its minimal design makes it suitable for contexts of various styles and corresponds to a simple and immediate opening and closing system. A patented mechanism lowers the backrest which becomes a single element with the seat and creates a large and comfortable bed.

Smala by Pascal Mourgue for Ligne Roset

Padded and stitched, Smala is an invitation to relax in all its forms. It welcomes and adapts to the body to offer great comfort but also an element of style to the environment. Thanks to the backrest and the reclining armrests, it can assume different configurations, up to that of a real bed.

Rounded shapes and trendy color combinations characterize the Chama sofa and armchair bed by Lago. A futon in a contemporary key that can become a chaise longue and also, by removing the backrest, a guest bed. Also in this case the opening and closing procedures are extremely easy.

Anfibio by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti

We conclude with a true icon of Italian design: Anfibio by Alessandro Becchi, produced by Giovannetti. Designed in 1971, it was an important innovation in the sofa bed sector. The backrest rotates around the seat to become a soft frame for a bed / nest in which to take refuge.
