A project developed by the G’N’b studio from Noto and Mohd’s Interior Design Service. Lying on the hills that, from the baroque town of Noto, gently slope towards the homonymous gulf, the sophisticated and minimalist villa with clean and simple contours suggests a constant dialogue with the landscape, merging seamlessly into the surroundings.
A dream mansion with a stunning view, where it was possible to connect with nature, peace and tranquility – this was the primary request of the clients, who fell in love with the Baroque of Noto and Sicily. As demanded by the customers, the intention behind the project was: “that never in every space of the house was denied the view of the sea, casa orizzonte was born to ensure that the owners and their guests can enjoy every moment of the day of breathtaking panoramic view”.
A spectacular glimpse of the Sicilian coastline that goes from Syracuse to Portopalo, where the view puts together the most beautiful Sicilian beaches: Calamosche, Vendicari, San Lorenzo and Marzamemi. The landscape is the star of every room and the villa seems to float in the peaceful countryside, with its interior spaces featuring large panoramic windows towards the scenery.
A contemporary open space
The living room is a 70 square meters large and bright open space flooded with natural light, simple in design but warm and delicate in the natural color of the local stone. Special care has been devoted to the living area and its elegant atmosphere. The designer furniture has been selected for quality, comfort and aesthetics.
The bedroom area is more intimate, for this reason the planner has designed tailored large full-height panels in eucalyptus wood, which can be used to hide the most private spaces from the room. The master bedroom is entirely facing outwards and is equipped with a comfortable bathroom, with a majestic bathtub placed just in front of the glass wall, in order to be able to look towards the sea at any time.
Indoor-outdoor continuity
The project suggests a constant interaction with the outside world, onto which it leans through large windows and numerous entrances. The interior spaces are fluid and dynamic, delineated by the delicacy of the large windows that provide natural light and air circulation. In order to enhance the beauty of outdoor life, spacious patios open up to the scents of the Sicilian countryside. One of these has been designed precisely to act as a solarium, offering large areas for rest and relaxation.
Evocative exteriors
The jewel in the crown of the project is the splendid infinity pool that surrounds the living area on two sides, dancing with the glass surfaces and creating a fascinating pattern of reflections. This space is designed for relaxing, for delightful moments, for enjoying the sunset, for pleasant cocktails or toasts under the stars. A lush green garden surrounds the infinity pool and highlights the perimeter of the house that seems to be floating on water.
