Designed by Marc Sadler, this floor lamp transforms two cables stretched between ceiling and floor into a mobile, precise, and silent lighting structure.
Some objects reveal the measure of space through an essential presence. Tendu by KDLN begins with a minimal gesture: two steel cables stretched vertically between floor and ceiling become structure, power supply, and field of action for light.
Designed by Marc Sadler, Tendu interprets tension as a design opportunity. The diffuser slides along the cables, stops where needed, and directs the beam with precision through a structure reduced to its essence and free of additional wiring. Form follows function until the two become one: a graphic, almost suspended presence that introduces a precise and measured technical sign into the space.
The lamp establishes a direct relationship between architecture and everyday gesture. It can accompany an entrance, define a reading corner, illuminate a detail, or create a luminous vertical line beside a wall. Available with one or two spotlights, Tendu explores freedom of movement and visual clarity, transforming a low-voltage system into a device of refined compositional elegance.
Its discreet, lightweight presence dialogues with furnishings and surfaces, introducing a contemporary note where precision becomes a language and tension becomes a form of freedom.
