For Fuorisalone 2026, the design lighting brand brings to Foscarini Spazio Monforte a reflection on light as a field of research: open, sensitive, and still capable of surprise.
With Intrecci di Luce / Knitted Light, Foscarini explores the language of three-dimensional knitting, transforming an ancient, familiar craft into an experimental territory where technique, gesture, and perception converge.
Thread becomes structure, surface, possibility. Jozeph Forakis and Lorenzo Palmeri begin with the same textile matrix, yet lead it in two distinct directions: the former pushes the machine beyond its limits, generating new forms; the latter cuts and deconstructs the material, allowing the fabric to recompose itself into an unexpected balance. Light enters these textures not as a mere function, but as a living presence: passing through, revealing, transforming.

Alongside its research into the new, Foscarini celebrates twenty years of Twiggy, the iconic floor lamp designed by Marc Sadler and still strikingly contemporary today.

Slender, elastic, almost suspended, Twiggy retains the oblique grace that allows it to inhabit space without imposing itself, redefining with a single line the relationship between lamp, environment, and body.

Behind its apparent lightness lies a precise technical intelligence: carbon fiber, fiberglass, calibrated proportions, and a counterweight system resolved with natural ease. Perhaps this is where Twiggy reveals its true contemporaneity: in its ability to make complexity disappear, leaving only the clarity of a gesture.
