The sophisticated loft located in the city center of Catania, designed by Luigi Pardo Architetti in collaboration with Mohd’s Interior Design Team, explores and reinterprets traditional design in a modern perspective.
Point of junction between mediterrean shapes and a refined Nordic style, the project comes to life from the intention of separating a very large space in two residential units without reducing the livable areas of the original apartement, and especially renewing the ambiences and the surfaces of the living lounge.
"The project blends mediterranean style and Nordic taste in a combination of shapes and colors, a direct expression of the different origins of the owners. The precious lamps by Davide Groppi, the Hay and String collections and the other brands selected by Mohd add a sophisticated touch to the atmosphere of the sicilian loft.”
The well-designed apartment is subdivided into primary and secondary areas. The overall upgrade of the ambiences and of traditional materials is representative of a modern, innovative design.
Extremely contemporary furnishings are tastefully juxtaposed with Sicilian antiques, building up a peculiar, exclusive atmosphere.
The bamboo ceiling reminds of ancient suspended ceilings, ideally delineating the living area, lighted by the precious lamps by Davide Groppi.
The modular bookcase by String, protagonist of the main room, is defined by a minimal design and some precious finishes that convey further class and poise to the apartement.
