From new product launches to revived design icons, Gubi’s Scenes offers one of the most compelling exhibitions of 3daysofdesign 2026.
At 3daysofdesign 2026, one of Copenhagen’s most compelling destinations was Gubi‘s headquarters at Orientkaj 20, in the waterfront district of Nordhavn. More than a showroom, the expansive space: with its soaring ceilings, industrial character and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the harbor, serves as both workplace and exhibition venue: the beating heart of the Danish brand.
For this year’s festival, Gubi unveiled Scenes, an immersive exploration of the contemporary home as a living curation. Conceived with interior curator Nadia Olive Schnack, the exhibition transformed the showroom into a sequence of domestic environments, demonstrating how design shapes atmosphere, function and emotion.
“We wanted to show a contemporary apartment lived throughout the years through Gubi furniture,” explains Aitor Lekuona, Product Manager at Gubi. “Through Gubi Scenes, visitors experience how design evolves with the people who inhabit a space.”
The show truly embodied the values of the brand because of its use of elements from various eras, textures, materials, and other cultures to develop interior designs with depth and meaning. As one moved from room to room at the show, one could easily see that the furniture and lighting were capable of telling stories, thus resulting in designs that have a personal touch to them.
The Brim chair designed by GamFratesi was showcased for the first time. “The Brim Chair is one of the novelties we are most proud of,” says Aitor. “It’s a contemporary chair with a very small footprint that delivers maximum comfort.”
Another standout was the revival of Carlo Nason‘s Lotus lamp, originally designed in 1969. Presented within a poetic floral installation, the glass lamp embodies Gubi’s commitment to rediscovering overlooked design treasures and bringing them to new audiences. “The Lotus Lamp perfectly represents our passion for rediscovering extraordinary designs that still feel relevant today.”
The exhibition also introduced new modules for Tobia Scarpa‘s Elogio collection, including an ottoman that expands the versatility of the sofa system while celebrating a distinctly Italian approach to comfort and social living. “We’re extending Elogio’s possibilities through new modules that reflect a very Italian way of living,” Aitor explains.
With views to the waterfront of Copenhagen and plenty of sunlight streaming in, Gubi Scenes was an insightful exhibition into modern day life. Not only a display of new products, but an exploration of how design impacts experience, memory and a sense of identity through home.
