B&B Italia: the return as a project

24 April 2026

B&BItalia MDW2026

After 25 years, B&B Italia returns to Salone del Mobile with a museum-like display by Formafantasma, re-reading its archive through new collections and contemporary collaborations.

B&B Italia’s return to Salone del Mobile 2026 is not simply a presence, but a positioning. The exhibition space, conceived as a curatorial device, establishes continuity between heritage and new directions.

The display, conceived as a museum-like environment and designed by Formafantasma, unfolds as a sequence of spaces where products are not isolated but framed within a broader narrative. New indoor and outdoor collections coexist with re-editions and archetypes, activating a direct dialogue between different design languages and timeframes.

Among the novelties, Ronan Bouroullec’s Abaco table explores balance and proportion through a restrained, almost silent presence.

The re-edition of Richard Sapper’s Nena armchair reaffirms lightness as a precise technical construction.

Alongside, Vincent Van Duysen’s Moor chaise longue clearly articulates the direction of the project: structure becomes a continuous gesture, a line that supports and defines the body, turning comfort into an architectural condition.

The narrative extends into the city. At Via Durini, the exhibition B&B Italia “Before & Beyond”, curated by Gianluigi Ricuperati, offers a second layer of interpretation, spanning sixty years of history between archive and future visions. Icons such as Up, Le Bambole and Diesis are not references, but active tools to read the present.

B&B Italia constructs a coherent return: not nostalgic, but grounded in a critical re-reading of its own legacy.
