It is a brand that was born from metalworking, today enhanced in classy furnishings.
Made in Italy is a creative and productive reality made up of small great stories. Family paths that become global and along the way acquire and consolidate skills that the world envies us. Never losing style, elegance and the ability to stand out without ever raising your voice. This is the case of Ghidini 1961, a brand that today we associate with tailored furnishings and which, in fact, has its roots in craftsmanship.
Tracing its path backwards, we discover that the first nucleus of this reality was born in 1961, when Giuseppe Ghidini took the first leap: he belongs to a family of brass craftsmen and decides to found a specialized company, Ghidini Giuseppe Bosco. The core is the production of brass components for lighting fixtures. It is one of those highly specialized Italian companies, with extremely high-level manufacturing skills and precision: die casting, hand-made lost-wax casting, machining, drilling, satin finishing, sandblasting and polishing, all done in-house. And so, with the second generation comes the second leap: new products and an international market, without distorting itself and remaining anchored to those roots so solid and unrepeatable.
In 2016, the third generation takes the third leap forward, projecting the company into the future: Ghidini 1961 is born, that year contained in the name is the trace of the past and the company is transformed, giving life to a complete and refined furniture catalog with sofas, chairs, tables, containers, bookcases and lamps. The style is sophisticated, the roundness is a recurring motif and the search for the most precious materials is constant.
The skills developed in metalworking become an added value here, a know-how that allows the creativity of the designers involved in the project to be given shape. Metal becomes a tool to give uniqueness to the collections but also a guide for research on materials and their processing. From fabrics to wood, passing through marble, the selection is meticulous not only of the material but also of the processing methodology that assimilates the craftsman to a high fashion tailor.
And as in high fashion the tailor works in close contact with the stylist, also in the case of Ghidini a strong and close affinity is established between the craftsmen and designers involved who are given great freedom of expression and the possibility of counting on a know-how of the highest level.
The company history is significant but the collections are innovative in form and spirit: there is freshness, surprise, irony, elegance. The goal is to fly over trends and create something that lasts over time, that can be passed down from generation to generation, find space in a new home and in a new life of those who have chosen it. A form of sustainability that has behind it an extreme knowledge of the most correct way to choose and work the materials so that they shine for a long time and more and more.

This is also demonstrated by the choice of designers involved in the collections, each with their own personal style, unrelated to trends but somehow, magical, consistent with the glamorous and classic personality of the brand. From Lorenza Bozzoli to Richard Hutten, from Nika Zupanc to Paolo Rizzato, just to name a few: designers united by the ability to seize and enhance the opportunity to work with a company born and grown thanks to know-how and a concrete and timeless vision.
