Sensory Landscape at Palazzo Bovara: a landscape of the senses by Piero Lissoni

Palazzo Bovara returns as one of the most closely watched destinations of Fuorisalone with Sensory Landscape, the new installation conceived by Piero Lissoni for Elle Decor Italia. Not an exhibition in the traditional sense, but an environment to be experienced slowly, where architecture, light, and vegetation construct a perceptual narrative capable of engaging visitors in a direct yet measured way.

Within the neoclassical setting of Corso Venezia, the project unfolds through successive layers. Lissoni’s vision privileges reduction, balance, and a precise sense of visual silence: a few rigorously calibrated elements generate a scenography that invites visitors to slow down and observe. The contribution of Antonio Perazzi introduces landscape as a living material, transforming greenery into a spatial device as much as a decorative presence

The result is an itinerary where interior and exterior draw closer, artifice and nature enter into dialogue, and domestic boundaries become more fluid. The home is not presented as a collection of objects, but as a sensory system: surfaces to touch, atmospheres to inhabit, perspectives that shift through movement and light. Here, Sensory Landscape addresses one of the central themes of contemporary design: the quality of experience before form itself.

Palazzo Bovara thus confirms its role as a privileged cultural setting within Milan Design Week. Over the years, the venue has hosted projects capable of interpreting the evolution of living through materials, research, and new rituals. The 2026 edition continues this trajectory with an essential yet highly evocative language, entrusted to one of the most coherent designers on the international scene.

Within this vision, the presence of Mohd finds a natural place, as partner of the initiative and an increasingly relevant interlocutor in the field of design culture. A contribution linked to a broader collaboration with Elle Decor Italia, already established through previous editorial projects and now extended toward new forms of storytelling across physical and digital platforms.

Among these is Interni a Colori, a digital extension born from the synergy between Mohd and Elle Decor, conceived to explore the role of color within contemporary interiors.

While Sensory Landscape works on the perception of space, this parallel project investigates palettes, combinations, and chromatic sensibilities as tools of domestic identity. Two different languages, one shared vision of the evolved home.

Within the Fuorisalone 2026 landscape, Sensory Landscape stands out for its balance and depth. In a week often dominated by visual excess, the installation chooses the precision of gesture and the strength of restraint. An invitation to rethink design not as simple display, but as an experience capable of reconnecting people, environment, and built space.
