Studiopepe at Fuorisalone: the home becomes a landscape of matter

23 April 2026

Mohd Interior Reflections MDW2026

For Milan Design Week 2026, the installation conceived for Mohd explores the domestic sphere through textures, perspectives, and reflections. An immersive narrative on contemporary living, shaped by material research and carefully calibrated atmospheres.

Interior Reflections begins with a clear idea: to observe the home not as a static setting, but as an organism in constant transformation. Across the Milan spaces of Mohd Officina and Mohd Turati, Studiopepe creates for Mohd a project centered on the complexity of domestic life, shaped by relationships, memory, balance, and sensory layers.

Curated by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, the installation unfolds as a journey marked by shifts in scale, perspectival glimpses, and interconnected rooms. Each space suggests a different dimension of living: intimate, convivial, contemplative. Visitors encounter more than furnishings and objects; they move through a sequence of atmospheres that invite space to be read through perception.

At the core of the project is materiality. Marble, travertine, wood, tactile surfaces, and selected wall coverings enter into measured compositions, where every pairing generates visual depth. Materials are not used as simple finishes, but as a design language capable of creating rhythm, warmth, and identity. Layering becomes a narrative tool, revealing the quiet richness of contemporary interiors.

Alongside the material dimension, reflection introduces a second level of interpretation. Mirrored surfaces, light, and transparency multiply viewpoints, transforming what appears into something fluid and shifting. The home emerges as a dynamic space where presence and perception coexist in constant balance.

“The interplay of perspectives and the sequence of spaces are among the key elements of the project, conceived to narrate interior design through atmospheres and stories that emerge within each setting.”

Unlike previous collaborations between Mohd and Studiopepe, this edition embraces a more domestic and intimate register, closer to the language of a real home. The result is a sophisticated yet welcoming environment, where design retains its cultural depth without sacrificing comfort or the natural ease of everyday use.

To visit Interior Reflections during Milan Design Week 2026 is to step into a narrative on the present of interior design: an invitation to consider living as a personal experience shaped over time, where material, light, and memory define the most authentic character of domestic space.
